No, we don't mean what made you lose your mind at participants…
What we mean is, what was the moment you knew you had to become an Instructor.
We caught up with some of our Instructors here at Les Mills Asia Pacific (LMAP) Head Office, and they shared with us their 'I just knew' moments:
Maigan, Instructor in BODYATTACK, BODYPUMP and BARRE
"Other Instructors! One approached me asking if I'd thought about Instructing, I'd also been in discussion with another friend who was an Instructor and he told me lots about his journey and what it brought him”.
Deb, Instructor in RPM, SPRINT and BODYPUMP
"I had THE BEST RPM Instructor and honestly, she is what made me want to be an RPM Instructor - she was inspiring and fun and I wanted to be like her....funny thing is that I team taught in her final class then took that class on!"
Marie, Instructor in BODYPUMP and CXWORX
"For me it was a no-brainer. My earliest memory of Les Mills was when my mum used to go to her BODYPUMP/BODYSTEP double and at the ripe old age of 5 I would sit on the side-lines to wait and watch (creche? What creche?). As soon as I was old enough to get a gym membership I was right there participating with her. It wasn't even a question a decade later that I would become an Instructor. I first trained in BODYATTACK (52) and have since gone on to train in BODYPUMP, CXWORX, GRIT, BODYSTEP and BODYBALANCE."
Andy, Instructor in BODYBALANCE, SH'BAM and BARRE
"I wanted to pick the tracks myself and wear the clothes!"
Jasmine, Instructor in GRIT and CXWORX
"The awesome adrenaline rush post class tipped me over the edge. I wanted that high on a regular basis and wanted to represent such cool programs!”
What tipped you over the edge?
